Company Overview
NYF Corp. is a customer-driven, team-based distributor of assembly components. Founded in 1956, we distribute a wide variety of aerospace, military, telecommunications, and industrial fasteners with quality requirements based on the critical nature of their applications. NYF places a strong focus on quality and on-time delivery, and employs state-of-the-art technology to support its business needs. NYF also offers value added services, designed to reduce or eliminate customers' costs of purchasing, receiving, inspecting, processing and managing inventories.
The company strategy flows from the Vision Statement, written by the employees in 1993 and amended in 1996 to focus on customer success, not merely customer satisfaction.
Vision
To operate as an ethical, world-class distributor of assembly components through a total focus on customer success.
Supporting Principles
- We will encourage each other to continually identify, understand and exceed customer needs.
- We will improve employee skills, making each an expert in his/her area of responsibility, to guarantee a competitive advantage.
- We will practice open communication, shared responsibility and mutual respect of and between employees.
- Management will continually provide means for constructive involvement, thus requiring participation from all employees in the management of the company.
- We will encourage process streamlining, innovation and flexibility, eliminating non-value added work.
Mission
We will create exceptional value for all of our stakeholders through consistent and reliable delivery of superior products and services in our designated markets. Our stakeholders are those key customers and suppliers who seek long-term relationships, loyal employees who are committed to each other's and the enterprise's success, and the investors who focus on continuous growth of their most important asset. Our designated markets are defined by our demonstrated successes in value delivery to large customers and by the strategic markets associated with our supplier-partners.
Guiding Principle
"To Deliver Defect-Free Products and Services, On Time, to Internal and External Customers".
Quality
We place a high emphasis on the quality of our products and ensure that a variety of quality control processes are in place. Quality is necessary not only to preserve our company reputation, but, more importantly, to help ensure the safety of end-customers' products. In support of our commitment to quality, NYF obtained ISO9002 Certification in 1996, ISO9001:2000 in 2003, and AS9100 in 2004. NYF's aerospace products are inspected to Mil I 45208A standards.
In 2002, NYF received the New Jersey Governor's Award for Performance Excellence. This award is the state's equivalent of the national Malcolm Baldrige Award. Click here for the press release.

Best Practices
Using a study by Arthur Anderson & Co., SC Facing the Forces of Change, Transforming Your Business with Best Practices, NYF monitors and benchmarks its key processes. The best practices as identified in the study cover the following 6 processes:
- Understanding Markets and Customers
- Developing a Vision and Strategy
- Selling and Customer Service
- Obtaining Materials and Supplies
- Managing Inventories and Making Deliveries
- Developing and Managing Human Resources
NYF continues to use the study to monitor best practice performance and determine future process goals. The study, performed every two years, aids in the continued development of strategic direction and enables us to identify key ways in which to differentiate ourselves in the distribution industry. Process
Our state-of-the-art, fourth generation language computer system is at the core of our process control. By working closely with our customers, we develop custom purchasing and delivery processes for a broad range of fastener lines. We continuously analyze the market and listen to our customers to tailor service models for specific customer needs. The knowledge gained through direct customer and supplier contact, analyses, surveys and industry trends has led to several internal process redesigns. As a result, we have improved on-time delivery, customer response times and overall cycle time reductions. We continue to evaluate our key processes and those of our customers for further improvements relative to quality and cost.
