NYF Corp. recognizes that substance abuse is a serious problem in the contemporary workplace. The abuse of drugs and alcohol can lead to the deterioration of an employee's health and interfere with family life. It also leads to an increased number of accidents, medical claims, and productivity issues at work.
Our Drug-Free Workplace Program was adopted to ensure that we have an environment free of the negative effects of drug and alcohol abuse. We believe that early recognition and treatment are critical to successful rehabilitation. Our goal is to provide help for employees who have substance abuse problems while ensuring that our workplace is operating efficiently and safely. We are committed to respecting our employees' personal privacy and dignity while maintaining a safe and productive workplace.
Our program consists of a written policy, a signed agreement with our employees, ongoing staff education and supervisor training, pre-employment screening, and subsequent testing when warranted. We strongly encourage employees who may have a problem with drugs or alcohol to voluntarily seek help. However, NYF will take appropriate measures against employees who refuse to comply with our substance abuse policies, to ensure that our goal of a drug-free workplace is met.
