Simple, Elegant Solutions
When designing value-added, supplied managed inventory services for its customers, NYF creates a project team led by a member of the Leadership Team and draws from various disciplines to capture diverse experience and viewpoints. The project team utilizes the following simple five-step process:
- Agreement with the customer on the general area of opportunity (the initial brainstorm/scoping exercise).
- Joint NYF & Customer creation of a Leadership Thought Process Map (the project 'roadmap' which states and validates assumptions; captures key decisions made throught the design cycle).
- Joint NYF & Customer Kaizen Event (a work session of a specific duration which defines "as-is" conditions and creates "to-be" desired states).
- Disciplined Project Managedment (the principle mechanism to guarantee quality and on-time delivery of product and service designs).
- Ongoing program refinement and/or expansion through Continuous Improvement.
Value-Added Services
NYF continually analyzes the market and listens to its customers. The knowledge gained through direct customer and supplier contact, analysis, surveys and industry trends has led to several process redesigns. As a result, NYF offers a wide range of value-added services designed to reduce or eliminate customers' costs of purchasing, receiving, inspecting, processing and managing inventories.
